This set design and scenic projections were created for a production of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" produced by Theatre Denton, in Denton, Texas. It was staged in July of 2025. The set design anchors two settings ... Willy Wonka's candy shop, stage left, and the home of Charlie Bucket, stage right. Upstage center are scenic projections. The projections are based on there being a 24 inch high platform along the base of the rear-projection screen. There are several interactions between the cast members and the scenic projections. The scenic projections are embedded in a Qlab file for on-site screening, and if needed, editing. The show could be scaled down to mainly involve the scenic projections, without the platform, if needed.
