The "Cornucopia Arbor" defines a pathway from the parking lot of the station to the train platform. The narrow end of the arbor is at the parking lot end, so that the effect is an opening up of the space as one walks (or wheels) toward the platform. At the narrow end the width between columns is 23 feet with the arch at 13 feet high, and the other end is 41 feet wide with the arch at 21 feet. Cabling connects the archs of rectangular steel. The blue color (also used in the platform structure) was chosen based on the input of a community committee member who recalled older homes in the area with porch ceilings painted blue to prevent wasps from nesting. It is intended that the structure be someday totally overtaken with climbing vines.
