
Philip Lamb has participated in several public art
projects in the Dallas area. Examples below include

Light Rail platform, 1996, DART Addison Transit Center,
1997, DART White Rock Light Rail Station, 1997, and
the Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute at Brookhaven

Dallas Convention Center Expansion, 1994
Mr. Lamb was one of a team of 5 artists who collaborated from 1990
through 1994 to create a public artwork with the terrazzo floor of the
Dallas Convention Center Expansion.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART),
Union Station Light Rail Platform murals, 1996
In 1994, Mr. Lamb received a commission from DART to design and
produce 12 murals to be displayed in wind screens on the light rail
platform of the Union Station light rail platform, downtown Dallas.
They are each 4 by 5 feet in size, and are executed in terrazzo.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit,
Addison Transit Center, 1997 (Opened June 7, 1999)
Mr. Lamb was hired as the Design Artist for the Addison Transit
Center, Addison, Texas. Working with the architect and landscape
architect, and with input from a community committee, Mr. Lamb
derived a plan for public art.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit,
White Rock Light Rail Station, 1997
Commissioned in 1997 and now under construction, the White
Rock Light Rail Station art program was designed by Mr. Lamb.
It includes a large arbor, cast concrete columns that echo a WPA building
in the nearby White Rock Park, and steps among plantings for seating.

Mr. Lamb was one of four finalists for this commission, although his submission was not chosen.
Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute,
Brookhaven College, Farmers Branch, Texas, 2001
This artwork was commissioned to honor the patron whose gift made
possible the renovation of the Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute
at Brookhaven College.
